A word from our Amazing Amanda:
My name is Amanda and I have been volunteering with Soul to Soul for about a year and a half now. I first met Lynne, one of the founding members, when I answered her post looking for a bicycle for one of their clients. After meeting her I felt called to get more involved in Soul to Soul. She told me all about how they were helping the homeless population in Lincoln County and the various needs they were striving to meet. I have always had a heart for the less fortunate and I knew I wanted to help. I think it’s a privilege to be able to give back to the community and I have thoroughly enjoyed the people I have met along the way. I was recently reminded of the motto: “Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.” As a volunteer I think these are important words to remember as there is no impact too big or too small.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family; including going to my son’s baseball games, daughter’s marching band competitions and taking care of my 3 dogs. I also love football season and watching Virginia Tech football.
